From following up the case of Dr. Islam Sobhy Abd El- Latif , a 35y old male poet & physician we report that he is suffering from cervical disc disease with multiple level disc protrusion between C3-C4 , C4-C5 , C5-6 : affecting the spinal cord posterioly & postrolateral , on clinical evaluation there is left sided upper limb and right sided lower limb weakness and radiculopathy with radicular pain distributed to the upper limbs and interscapular area , he has also generalized ligaments laxity , symptoms of autonomic system affection as neurogenic bladder and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which is still consistent with the spinal cord compression caused by the cervical disc disease , chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer exacerbated by the chronic use of NSAIDs to counteract the sever pain caused by the CDD, his Neurosurgeon and Orthopedic consultants advised to have a multilevel disc replacement surgery as soon as it possible after fulfilling the course of physiotherapy and medical treatment which was delayed too much by the consequence of his trapping from the Saturday night the 7th of April 2007,while he was going by him self to the security office at 'Tanta' to take their permission for his travel, as he was travelling to work as a physician at a medical center, then he was trapped their from that night, and at the 27th of May 2007 he was transferred to 'Wady Natrone 2' prison where he was referred by the prison's physician to the prison hospital for a while due to the deteriorating clinical condition.

Dr. Islam Sobhy is well known by his neutral thoughts & his calm, deep, meaningful & wise writings , which is devoid of any tremendous or extreme thinking or political trend , and was not accused to be included in any violence or involved in any restricted political work

So, and by referring to his critical medical needs, we are all hoping to deliver our voice to the Egyptian government to free him with kind concern for his special needs.
