We, the owners of Kawasaki's 2007 (and possibly 2008) model year Ninja ZX-6R's, have experienced numerous instances of faulty valve cover gaskets leaking oil. Many owners have been able to get these valve cover gaskets replaced under the factory one-year warranty, only to continue to be plagued by repeated leaks requiring several additional replacements. Despite being a manufacturer defect, the components being replaced have not been subject to a recall as of this writing.
As these incidents are not the result of normal wear and tear, or abuse, we demand that Kawasaki either issue a recall or technical service bulletin to remedy this part failure, or in the alternative, we demand that Kawasaki extend its warranty protection to owners of these models by making any and all repairs necessary to remedy this defective condition even if out of the standard warranty.
