4-Way Stop Required at King St. E., Rossiter Rd & David St.

We, the concerned citizens of the town of Ingersoll in the county of Oxford, hereby respectfully petition the Council of the town of Ingersoll in the county of Oxford to approve the addition of a four (4)-way stop at the corners of Rossiter Road and David Street where they meet at King Street East. Currently, there is a two (2)-way stop for traffic entering King Street East from Rossiter Road and David Street.

Vehicles on King Street East travel at excessively high speeds through this area, endangering the lives and properties of residents and visitors to this area. Due to a hill just East of Rossiter Road and David Street, residents of King Street East, just West of said streets are endangered each time they attempt to exit their driveways due to poor visibility of vehicles behind the hill. A four (4)-way stop would dramatically decrease this danger. With the ongoing construction of new homes in the Rossiter Road and David Street subdivisions, a four (4)-way stop is imperative to create a safe environment for all residents concerned.
