A Petition for Deleted Scenes on BtVS DVDs

We, as Buffy the Vampire Slayer viewers, have loved being sucked into this world that you, Joss Whedon and ME, have created for us. The majority of the shows viewers have cherished every twist, every turn, and every bump on this complex roller coaster ride that is the Buffyverse, and we sincerely thank you for bringing us into this world.


But occasionally, something will seem amiss. Not a plot hole, exactly. Just a moment, even if only a minute or less, that the audience knows they missed something. This is what we are asking for in this petition. Please return to us those lost moments.


In other words, please stack your newest DVDs with deleted scenes in the Extras.


As far as weve heard, the Season Five disk set for Region Two is already in production. But that doesnt mean that you dont still have time to put them on the Region One sets, and DVDs for seasons to come.


There have been many possibly memorable scenes that we as viewers have missed due to the time constraints the network and advertisers put on your show. They also may be taken out for content that is deemed too inappropriate for an eight oclock time slot. But that doesnt mean that we, your loyal viewers who have watched faithfully since your first year and continue to support this wonderful program (and yes, Im sucking up), should be denied the privilege to watch these scenes.


As a B/S shipper personally, I would very much enjoy watching the last few moments that were cut from Out Of My Mind in Season Five, the scene in Smashed where Spike prepares his crypt for Buffy, and the last part of Smashed, minus the CGI smoke effects. Many W/T fans would like to see more of their sensual scenes that got cut from Seeing Red. Even diehard fans who *dont* belong to a ship would jump at the chance to be able to see these scenes for themselves rather than hearing about them over the Internet.


Many would also be willing to pay just a bit more for these special features, which at the moment are lying around at your offices not making any profit whatsoever. You could make us, the viewers, happy and earn more money at the same time by just putting a collection of scenes never aired onto a DVD. Also, if it is not too much to ask, many, *many* people would love to see bloopers. Thats not what is being asked for in this petition, but you should put it into consideration as well.


Please look over this petition signed by people interested in witnessing these unaired scenes for themselves and consider this option. Thank you for your time.
