On July 26, 2008, our daughter, Debra Davis, died unnecessarily due to the out of control underage drinking party at the New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium (Country Fest), which appears to have become a rite of passage for many teenagers in the region knowing that not having a ticket does not necessarily mean no entry.
We the under signers of this petition, respectfully, request that the Foxboro board of selectman, as the licensing authority, restrict the hours of operation of the Foxboro Stadium parking lots for the Country Music Festival, taking place on August 21st, 2010. This includes all parking areas surrounding the venue and all pre-show activities. Specifically, the parking lot gates shall not open more than three hours prior to the beginning of the concert.
