As constituents and supporters of affordable housing for low income families, we urge you to support the establishment of an Affordable Housing Fund as part of GSE legislation. Such a fund was included in the House Financial Services Committees GSE bill, H.R. 1461. We are writing to encourage you to support similar legislation in the Senate this spring.
The Affordable Housing Fund would help our state meet the housing needs of extremely low and very low income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities and help to alleviate our nations affordable housing crisis.
