Dear Fellow Consumer
I got 30 liters of petrol filled on 1st April from Dolly motors, which is an outlet for IOC. My car (2003 model Ford IKON 1.6 Nxt) has a stated capacity of 45 liters.
According to me the fuel needle should have crossed or at worst should have been on the th mark. It was clearly not there even after 20 minutes of petrol being filled.
When I complained I was asked to meet the manager. He asked me if I had seen the zero reading before the petrol was put .As I had seen it, I answered in affirmative.
His explanation was my needle was defective. I said I want to write a complaint.
As I was writing another person came and made the exact same complaint.
The managers explanation was that it was a mere coincidence.
He took us both down stairs and showed the measure test, which was exact.
I asked if he was sure that I had been given 30 liters my car should not take more than 15 liters as the total capacity was 45 and I had driven to his pump so there must have been at least some residual petrol.
He said ok and said it will not take more than 10 liters.
Petrol was topped up (to the brink) and the reading was 16.48.
Now his claim was that the capacity was 47 or more
