Ever since the Elizabethans the works of William Shakespeare have been a famous part of English literature and why not? The man has brought us such gory classics as Macbeth, Hamlet, Richard III and heck, even Romeo and Juliet had a little violence near the end. Despite the mindless killing and gruesome depictions of some of the most famous and important people of the day, Shakespeare's plays are still read frequently in Schools today, in the way they were written. Though most literature is best left unchanged, that is simply not the case with Shakespeare whose primitive language has baffled school children for generations. Now, at the dawn of the 21st century, we must ask ourselves, "why do we still read texts at school that were written in a language so hard to understand? I mean, come on, the guy and the words used in his plays have been extinct for 100's of years - why can't they modernise this crap and make it understandable?" That is what we, the Anti-Shakespeare society aim to achieve. A world where if we have to read this prehistoric mumbo jumbo we can read it in words that at least make sense!
If you're baffled by Shakespeare's stupid puns, metaphors, similies and what-not, please sign this petition! If you actually like his work (not many, but there are some out there), but you want it to be updated so that the folk of the 21st century can understand it, please sign this petition, too! Remember, we're not trying to kill Shakespeare - He's already dead!
So, it's up to us to make the world a happier place by abolishing Shakespeare for good or at least changing it to English! Sign now or forever annoy school children!

It's no wonder you people don't like Shakespeare. I'm sure you don't understand a word of what you're reading. Shakespeare contains coherant sentences, punctuation, and correctly spelled words. These are concepts which seem to elude you so I'm not suprise
