The undersigned residents, citizens and business owners of the City of Atlanta, and others personally affected, hereby voice our opposition to the lack of funding for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. It is our belief that this lack in funding grossly compromises the safety and security of our community, risk lives and property, and puts too heavy a burden on the understaffed fire rescue companies. It is our further belief that this funding can be made available, and falls upon Mayor Franklin to direct those funds toward this effort. It is the responsibility of this City and its elected Officials to ensure that the safety of its citizens and visitors is held in the highest regard, and should never be compromised or considered as a lesser priority.
