Ban Award Shows to End Poverty

People all over the world die everyday. A child dies every 3 seconds from it. Its poverty. From lack of water, food, and housing, people die every day from poverty. A child lives in poverty after their parents die from AIDS/HIV. But I know we can stop poverty. Award shows are everywhere. There are the Teen Choice Awards, the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, the Oscars, the Grammys, the Country Music Awards, the Screen Guild Awards, and theres even an award show for movie trailers. From all of this money that people spend on award shows, even in one year, I believe its enough to stop poverty. They have to buy the red carpet, people buy expensive clothes, they have to pay for the statues that they receive for winning an award, and to pay for the place where the award show is held. Why? Its all a matter of opinion whether its by fans or critics. Im on a mission to get thousands of signatures on this petition and send it to George Bush (because I think he has the power). An award for something like that isnt worth a life.
