Beckenham Town Centre needs your support
We would like to let you know that Beckenham Town Centre will not be celebrating Chistmas this year unless we do something about it as there is not sufficient funding for Christmas lights and decorations. Our economy is facing a credit crunch and we need to attract as many people as possible to Beckenham High Street over the coming months and plans need to be put in place now for Christmas.
In addition to this, Beckenham Town Centre residents, visitors and shops have had to endure major disruption due to Southern Gas Networks continual work in the High Street which has had an enormous impact on the local economy. Our High Street needs support and compensation for this upheaval and we propose this should come from Bromley Council and Southern Gas Networks. This petition is a request to the forementioned to cover the costs for our usual Christmas lights and activities. Thanks for your support.
