We the undersigned note that recommendation 12 of the Macpherson Inquiry states that:
A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person
We hereby declare that we find the killing of Billy Ward in Croydon to be a racist incident.
We therefore petition the Metropolitan Police, and all media, to apply the recommendations of the Macpherson report and class this murder as a racist incident.
