Blizzard Entertainment should offer character transfers to World of Warcraft subscribers

Blizzard Entertainments release of their Massive Multiplayer Online Role-playing game World of Warcraft has been an awesome gaming experience for some and a sour, frustrating disappointment for many others. Out of the ninety-four US servers that are currently active at the time of this petitions creation, seventy-four of those servers experience very little down time. However, twenty of those servers are consistently down for hours at a time. This down time is accompanied by uninformative explanations that only serve to heighten the frustration of paying customers. Blizzard is failing miserably to adequately address the problems plaguing these twenty servers.

Never once has Blizzard stated that I can expect more down time if I play on one of these twenty problematic servers. Ive never seen any acknowledgement from them that my server is more prone to network failures than the seventy-four others. So, why shouldnt I expect the same level of service being provided to the customers who play on those seventy-four other servers but experience less than half the down time I do?

Im sick of it. Im sick of Blizzard telling me how they are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Im sick of the emergency maintenance that occurs an average of twice a week with my server during which I lose hours of playtime and have to suffer through Blizzards feeble explanations when it has become very obvious that they dont have a clue how to fix their problematic servers.

Here is a list of the twenty servers that are constantly experiencing unscheduled down time. If you play on any of these servers I strongly encourage you to sign this petition. Given Blizzards abysmal customer service record I seriously doubt theyll do anything to please us in response to this petition but at least we can make it impossible for them to ignore how many of us are dissatisfied with their inexcusable incompetence:

This is my call to Blizzard for action. Blizzard, you can keep your half-assed explanations. The people who have signed this petition arent interested in your excuses. We want YOU to offer us the option to move all of our characters to one of the seventy-four servers that experience less down time. Your continued insistence that we create new characters on these other servers in lieu of character transfers is ludicrous. You are absolutely insane if you expect customers who are paying you for a service to throw away hundreds of hours of their time because of your failure.
