Bring Back the Prototype Development Workshop

This year the Tufts Community has suffered a great loss, a loss that has gone unnoticed by most. The closing of the Tufts Prototype Development Workshop closed at the end of last semester to make room for a new Environmental Engineering lab. The news came as a shock and with great disappointment to the engineering student population. The woodshop was a great resource for all of Tufts student to work on projects including from musical instruments, soapbox derby cars, ES-3 speakers, senior design projects and coffee tables for your new College Ave apartment. Bob Lind and his staff of teaching assistants made the woodshop a fun, educational and safe environment for all students to enjoy. The woodshop was an invaluable resource that must be reopened as soon as possible. No plans have been made to relocate the prototype shop and we, the students of Tufts, need to tell our department heads, deans and President Bacow that we want our woodshop back. Do this by signing our petition.
Thanks for your time and support,
