BROOKLYN FIGHTS FOR BRONX
Sign Now
Please sign the petition PHAC is now circulating for our friends in the Bronx at SAVE OUR PARKS. The full 51-member City Council is voting Yes or NO! on Wednesday April 5th, 2006 on the absurd issue of taking precious city parks from the people and giving them to a corporate predator. Or NOT!
Yes = One man, George Steinbrenner, gets 2 parks FREE to build a new Yankee Stadium with more corporate skyboxes and 15,000 fewer seats for commoners.
NO! = The parks remain the property of 8 million people. Thats us New Yorkers. Its a WIN / WIN: George gets to keep his team in The House that Ruth Built and we keep recreational land that has been inalienably ours since 1924.
WE HAVE 3 DAYS: We are looking for another two thousand signatures, from Brooklyn. We will be relaying the tallys of your online signatures up to and during the vote on Wednesday. Please sign this petition and send this link to your web-list.
Join the fight! Your REPRESENTATIVE in the City Council needs to know you are ANGRY that he/she would ever consider taking public property and gifting it to one rich man. Tell your councilperson vote NO!
