Build a Bicycle Action Sports Park in Orange County

We the undersigned support the inclusion of dirt jumps, a concrete pool and ramps in the Twins Creeks Park plan. These new facilities will allow people to participate in bicycle action sports at a legal, local facility. Orange County does not currently offer any legal facilities for bicycle action sports. Interested citizens must travel out of the county to ride at a legal facility. Additionally, Orange County is missing the opportunity to attract participants from outside the county. The Twin Creeks Park is an opportunity for Orange County not only to expand existing, traditional, recreational facilities but also, to create new opportunities for our evolving community.
We believe that it is of the utmost importance for the health of our community to encourage all of our citizens to participate in sports and athletics. Therefore, we recognize the need for a legal area for bicycle action sports in Orange County. We believe that Orange County should build and maintain the facility as it would a soccer field, tennis court, or baseball diamond.
