This is a petition to call for the footballing authorities of the UK (and the rest of the world) to act now, and do something about the crazy ticket prices being charged for live matches.
For too long, the average fan has had to put up with this gross injustice and keep paying up to 50-60 (70-80 euros) for an hour and a half's entertainment. Now is their opportunity to speak up.
Why are we expected to spend a quarter of our weekly wage on a ticket to a football match?
How do clubs get away with drastically increasing prices further when the big teams come to visit?
Why do we get charged 4 or 5 times what fans of Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga do?
How does a single game ticket now cost almost as much as a season ticket would have 20 years ago?
The roots of the sport lie in the working class people of the world. That is why it is 'the beautiful game'. Because traditionally, it has been accessible to anyone, regardless of class or income. This is not so much the case anymore. But it is time to take it back.
The purpose of this petition is to bring together all the football fans of the world as one, regardless of what team they follow, and unite them as one voice, so we can get across to the governing bodies of the game, that something must be done now to bring down ticket prices. Even if you do not support a Premiership team, I urge you to sign, as one day it might be your club pricing you out of games.
If you are tired of paying crazy prices, and care about the beautiful game, sign this petition now. When there are enough signatures, this petition will be sent to the Football Association.
