Esta peticion es para expresar nuestro rechazo del racismo evidente en
su programacion durante el ciclo Operaciуn Bollywood.
Vi Al Ritmo de Bollywood en Canal Plus para otra vez enfrentar el
racismo que existe en los medios de comunicaciуn espaсoles. Dado que el
suyo es un canal internacional, esperaba un poco mas de conocimiento y
sensatez que las emisoras pequeсas regionales de este pais. Pero lastima!
Nunca he visto un programa tan poco investigada, racista y patetica.
Finalmente, como ya llego a reconocer el ex Ministro del Interior, Sr.
Aceves, en Marzo 2004, la gente de la India no se llaman hindues,
sino indios. Si equivoco Colon hace siglos, es problema de los Europeos y
no el nuestro, porque hay muchos indios que no son hindues y
tampoco todos los hindues son indios.
Esperamos que esta petition les llega a re-pensar un poco su politica
de emision.

This petition expresses our condemnation and rejection of the racism
evident in Canal Plus programming during Operaciуn Bollywood.
The programme, Al Ritmo de Bollywood shows again the racism that
exists in the Spanish media. Given Canal Pluss standing as an
international channel, there was hope of greater knowledge and sensitivity than
that shown by smaller, regional channels. But what a shame! Few
programmes could be so pathetically lacking in research and openly racist.
Finally, as the former Home Minister, Mr. Aceves, has already
recognized in March 2004, the people of India are not Hindus, but Indians. If
Columbus made a mistake, that is not our problem but that of the
Europeans, especially since not all Indians are Hindus, and not all Hindus
are, for that matter, Indians!
Hope this petition makes you rethink your transmission policy.
