Capital Punishment Should be Banned

To: Governor Taft and the citizens and politicians of Ohio: A debate that has been perused in Ohio for many years is whether or not capital punishment should be practiced in Ohio or anywhere else in the US. The death penalty is a heinous and unethical punishment that should not be the sentence of those who commit what is considered a capital crime. Capital punishment is a racist, unconstitutional, and immoral punishment that claims the lives of some convicted, but innocent, lives and does NOT serve as a deterrent to criminals. So I ask you to support the ban of capital punishment and represent want the United States, and every moral and sane being should stand for. I urge you to sign this petition and show your support to help towards the ban of capital punishment in Ohio, and eventually the US.
