We the undersigned, residents of Ceres, would like to see the Goalposts reinstated in the Green at Bow Butts PERMANENTLY.
We believe the Green is the best location in our village for children to enjoy a ‘kick about’ due to its central location, allowing children to seen and supervised whilst encouraging them to socialise and keep active.
Goalposts have been a fixture on the Green for some 40 years until their removal some 5 years ago (approx), we simply want to see these back to encourage our youths to play together in a safe location.
We also do not feel these goalposts should interfere with other events or activities held on the green as they will be removable for events such as the Games and even when in situ allow ample room for other activities.
