Crises intervention training for Law enforcement officers in Butte county is an important part of a mental health program. Far too many people with a serious brain disorder are finding their way into our juditial system because Police officers are not adequitely trained in dealing with mentally ill persons. C.I.T. is a nationally acclaimed program that fills that void. Many California counties already have this program and the results have been phenomenal.
