Clarifying the Situation of a Group of Iranian Male Applicants of Higher Education in Sweden

This petition aims to defend the rights of a large group of prospective second cycle students aiming to continue their graduate studies in Sweden universities. Iranian universities do not provide their male alumni with original bachelor's degree certificates or provisional bachelor's degree certificates to be officially translated so long as the students have done over their two-year national military service, or else they are admitted to a university in graduate or post-graduate levels. Otherwise, the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology will not grant bachelor's degree diploma to be officially translated and sent to Studera in order to receive an admission letter; but it is stated in our officially-translated transcripts that we all have completed the undergraduate studies and have graduated successfully. The vicious circle starts when we need an admission letter to waive the national military service and, on the other hand, we need fully-prepared documentation which is impossible to get an admission letter. Not to mention that in previous semesters, applicants who have had exactly similar conditions have been admitted by universities in Sweden and have delivered their BA/BS certificates at the time of registration.

Hereby, we demand the Swedish authorities consider our case, and offer conditional admission to qualified male and newly graduated aspiring elites, with the undergraduate degree certificate being delivered upon matriculation. Undoubtedly, the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology will issue BA/BS certificates on the grounds of conditional admissions, and we assert and assure to deliver the full certificates upon registration.
