From: Paul Campbell Jr.
This Petition is on behalf of Jason Stanley Richards #231700, who is currently imprisoned in Waverly, Virginia. Jason is serving time for violation of Virginia state laws. Tony Richards, Jasons father, died when his Jason was an adolescent. Tony lost his battle with cancer and Jason lost his father. Upon completing high school, Jason joined the Marine Corps served for a brief duration and was discharged.
In 1995, Jason was charged with numerous felonies including robbery and firearm possession. That same year Jason was found guilty of these charges. Subsequently, Jason was given an exorbitant sentence. As of July 22, 2003 the Virginia Department of Justice Inmate Status Information System outputs that Jasons projected release date is December 31, 2043. Jasons sentence is longer than reprehensible culprits like John Walker Lindh and Sammy the bull Gravano.
We the Undersigned, respectfully ask Governor Mark Warner to use his powers bestowed upon him in the constitution and code of Virginia to reduce the sentence of or pardon Jason Stanley Richards #231700.
