We, the undersigned, know that dog-fighting is big business in Louisiana. Tens of thousands of pit bulls are bred and trained to fight each year. Therefore, we urge the Louisiana State Police take the following steps to combat this crime:
1. Set up a multi-agency task force to aggressively investigate all dog-fighting complaints;
2. Continue to train officers in innovative methods to attack this illegal activity; and
3, Inform the public on a periodic basis of the actions being taken to solve this problem.
