We, the undersigned, condemn the LAPD's Muslim Community Mapping Project. This program does nothing to counter criminal activity in the United States; rather it targets groups based on their religious affiliation. To have a systematic program of racial profiling in one of the most diverse communities in America goes against the very ideals of the Constitution, and attacks the civil rights and liberties of all American citizens.
We, the undersigned, recognize the obligation the LAPD has in securing Los Angeles, but vehemently stand against this initiative, which does nothing to further the goals of security. This is yet another example of the gross violation of civil liberties that has been affecting minority communities.

Since 'mapping' is intelligence gathering and unconstituional. And since all the LAPD wants is to understand the Muslims in LA i'm sure they can take Sociology classes with their partner USC. A police force with an education, What a concept!!?!
