CTV Olympic Coverage

Dear CTV:
To quote your self serving puff piece on athlete's accomplishments aired Saturday evening February 27, "cynicism is easy" and yours was evidenced as constant simpering, finger pointing editorials began airing on the lack of Canadian athletes success, failure of Own The Podium to provide guidance and support and even perceived failure of Canada to stage successful games. How you could have perceived so much only three days in is remarkable.

We could attribute it to great foresight or even an ability to predict the future if only Canada's final results weren't so different from your early insights. Therefore, the only thing left is your desire to generate news at any cost and therefore a complete unwillingness to pull Medusa from your butt, look around and get the big picture. Greatly missed were stories of the accomplishments of all athletes, all countries, incredibly hard work of volunteers and others to pull off the world's single largest event.

To say you owe the entire nation, Roger Jackson of OTP and most particularly Canadian athletes an apology is far from overstating the obvious and the undersigned urge you to publicly do so.
