Cut the speed on Camden Valley Way

This petition is on behalf of Macarthur region residents and motorists. We want the speed limit on Camden Valley Way reduced from 80km/h to 60km/h in the vicinity of the intersection with Catherine Field Road
We know the State Government will upgrade Camden Valley Way over the next four years. However, we think lowering the speed limit is the safest thing to do until the upgrade is completed.
The traffic on Camden Valley Way has been building for years and becomes especially dangerous at the intersection with Catherine Field Road.
Last month, a three-vehicle crash at the intersection killed a four-year-old girl. There is also a preschool on Catherine Field Road and parents are required to use Camden Valley Way when they pick up or drop off their children. We fear for their safety.
The road from the traffic lights at Harrington Park to the traffic lights at Raby is in very poor condition. Camden Valley Way is a main freeway but it looks like a back road.

I turn right from springfield into Camden Valley Way daily,reducing the speed limit is one option the other is installing traffic lights at Catherine Field road.
