Day of Peace

John Lennon was the most well known Beatle, not only because his incredible musical and vocal talents, but also because of his non-stop mission to end war in the world and bring peace into the lives of everyone. Many people believe that the day John Lennon died was the day that his effort to bring peace to the world died as well. I am asking anyone who wants to continue this journey of world peace in honor and memory of John Lennon to sign this petition. My goal is to use this petition to create a new national holiday called "Peace Day" which will be on December 8, the day that John Lennon was assassinated. If the proper number of signatures is acquired to make this holiday possible, it will not only stand as a holiday to respect one of the greatest icons of the 20th century, but also help to create a national tranquility, even if it is only for one day out of the year. Please help to make this dream possible. In the words of the great Beatle mastermind, "Give peace a chance" and remember, "There's nothing you can do that can't be done."
