To: His Excellency Mr. Nalin Surie, Indian High Commissioner to the U.K.
We are very concerned about the military attacks, known as Operation Green Hunt, being carried out by the Indian State against the adivasis. The lives and livelihoods of these vulnerable people are being put in jeopardy so that mineral extraction corporations have free reign in the traditional homelands of the adivasis. We strongly urge the Indian Government to halt its military operations, reconsider its policy and enter into sincere negotiations with the leaders of the adivasis.
