Demand for the Resignation of Mr. Seymour Kersh

To Whom It May Concern:

We the undersigned demand the resignation of Seymour Hersh, writer for the magazine, The New Yorker.

We believe that the act of an American uncovering a top secret United States military mission, putting the lives of US military men and women at risk constitutes treason. By definition treason is the act of betraying ones country by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies or the betrayal of trust or confidence. To quote the US Constitution:

Article. III.
Section. 3.
Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

You, Mr. Hersh, have betrayed the American soldiers you have put at risk. You have betrayed the American families who have loved ones running secret missions across the worldthe very same men and women who risk their lives to give you the first amendment right you undoubtedly are going to stand behind. However, sir, I would like to point out the first amendment does not allow you to stand in the middle of a crowded night club and yell fire, it does not allow you to threaten the lives of people just so you can sell a few more magazines, or win another award.

The constitution clearly states that you can not be convicted of treason unless of the testimony of two (2) witnesses to the same overt actI will gladly testify against you as will, Im sure, the rest of the undersigned.

You should be ashamed of yourself. You owe the soldiers you put at risk, and their families an apology. Nay, you owe the entire United States an apology.

With that being said, we will anxiously await your response in the form of a resignation letter with an apology for the crimes you have committed against this great nation.
