Disability Access To Transport Options Now

To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales.









The Petition of people with disabilities, their families, friends, carers advocates and service providers of New South Wales.









Brings to the attention of the House, That -




1) The Taxi Transport Subsidy Schemes (TTSS), M4O Voucher System has risen only once in the last ten years.




2) The Ministry of Transport hasn't re-convened their Accessible Public Transport Forum since its disbanding in 2001.




And,




3) The CityRail Network's "Easy Access Program" requires a doubling of funding in order to increase compliance.









We, the undersigned petitioners therefore ask the Legislative Assembly to -




1) Direct the Government of New South Wales to increase the Taxi Transport Subsidy Schemes (TTSS), M4O Voucher System from the current $30 Limit to $60.




2) Direct the Ministry of Transport to imediately re-convene their previously disbanded Accessible Public Transport Forum and genuinely commit to actively engaging with all disability transport stakeholders.




And,




3) Direct the Government of New South Wales to double the CityRail Network's "Easy Access Program" funding allocation from the current $18.5Million to $36.1Million Per Annum.
