Mining Ball Mill is an efficient machine for powder grinding. And it is widely used in powder-making production line including cement, new-type building material, silicate, refractory material, fertilizer, ore dressing of ferrous metal and non-ferrous metal, glass ceramics, etc. Ball mills have two ways of grinding: the dry way and the wet way. It can be divided into tabular type and flowing type according to different extracting way of mine. Ball mill is widely used in cement industry, mining industry, building material, chemical industry etc.
Aside from common ball mills, there is a second type of ball mill called planetary ball mill. Planetary ball mills are smaller than common ball mills and mainly used in laboratories for grinding sample material down to very small sizes. A planetary ball mill consists of at least one grinding jar which is arranged eccentrically on a so-called sun wheel. The direction of movement of the sun wheel is opposite to that of the grinding jars (ratio: 1:-2 or 1:-1 or else). The grinding balls in the grinding jars are subjected to superimposed rotational movements, the so-called Coriolis forces. The difference in speeds between the balls and grinding jars produces an interaction between frictional and impact forces, which releases high dynamic energies. The interplay between these forces produces the high and very effective degree of size reduction of the planetary ball mill.
Working Principle of ball mill: Ball mill is the cylindrical swiveling mechanism. It is the outside gearing, double-hopper and lattice ball milling machine. The materials are transferred into the first hopper of the ball milling machine by quill shaft screw of the feeding equipment. This first hopper has the stepped lining board or corrugated liner board, and the steel balls with different specifications. When the cylinder rotates, centrifugal force will come into being and lift the steel ball to a certain height. Then, the steel balls will fall down, and have strike and grinding impact on the materials. After kibbling in the first hopper, the materials will be transported into the second hopper by single-wall partition. The second hopper has the steel balls inside the scaleboard which will make further grinding to the materials. The powder will be pulled out by the discharging grate plate and accomplish the grinding.
