Don't Kill Bambi - Repeal All Right to Hunt and Fish Laws

I oppose any legislation that makes it a "right" to murder another creature when I have no justification to do so. To guarantee the ability to harm or kill the weak or defenseless, regardless of species, for entertainment, cannot be considered lawful. I believe that tradition is no indication of just or appropriate action. Nor is hunting for sport a necessary solution to conservation and wildlife management. Any amendment or law which suggests otherwise endangers not only the non-human animals whose right to life it ignores, but the moral authority of the citizens it affects, and ought to be overturned.

There will be a day when legislation of this nature is viewed in the same light as legislation restricting the actions of people based on their gender, race, or sexuality. Until that time, I will strongly oppose any and all "right to hunt and fish" laws and believe they should be repealed.
