Dr. Dennis LaRavia is not only a valuable member of the medical community in Washington Parish, he is also a valuable member of the larger community of Bogalusa. Dr. LaRavias leadership, clinical skills and love for his profession, the residency program and the people of this community have made him a very positive force for the LSU system in Bogalusa. We ask that he be reinstated to his position as Director of the Rural Family Medicine Residency Program in Bogalusa. We fully support the entire LSU medical program here in Bogalusa and are grateful that the Hospital and Residency programs are here. We view Dr. LaRavia as the catalyst for the success and growth of the residency program so far and essential to its continued success and effectiveness.
