We, hereby, request that our respective municipalities utilize snow plough side wing blades appropriately to eliminate the driveway "Hump" created when our city residential streets are ploughed.
This practice has been in effect in many cities in Canada already. We would like to have the same benefit. With our property tax dollars creating much of a municipalities income, we feel this minor adjustment to the operation of snowploughs is invaluable.
It will reduce petroleum usage with the decreased snowblower usage, it will reduce the number of post snowfall heart attacks (See the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Website for more details), and it will help, in some small way, to decrease the winter blahs.
