Eating Tuna Fish Kills Dolphins

We the undersigned urge the government of Mexico and the unelected
government of the United States to protect dolphins, mammals, by strengthening the regulations in the tuna fish industry which annually suffocates and smothers hundreds of thousands of dolphins. Some of us will avoid tuna fish altogether. Others will work to reinstate the regulations
cancelled by the Bush regime. We also ask the Mexican government to
stop advertising bullfights in its tourism commercials, to protect
donkeys from abuse, and to ban bullfighting altogether.

(Whether or not one believes that tunafish have a right not to be
suffocated to death and consumed, fish flesh is correlated to
stomach cancer, the countries such as Korea, Norway, Japan, Chile
with the highest fish consumption having the highest rates of that
cancer. Fish flesh is high in brain destroying mercury, polychlorinated
biphenols, arsenic, chromium, lead and 21 other metal toxins.)

We are not sure if the Washington Times has severed its financial
connection to one of the world's biggest operators of longline fishing,
which pulls in turtles, octopi, starfish, and virtually every living
being in the ocean.
