We the undersigned would like to see tougher sanctions invoked against players who are found to be gaining an unfair advantage by diving during a game. We believe the only way to do this would be to impose bans or sanctions against players by using video evidence after a game has been concluded as it is not always possible for a referee to spot this unsportsmanlike behaviour during the game itself.
We would like to see the FA or any other of footballs controlling bodies do something to elimintae diving from football. One of our ideas on how this could be done is to review suspected dives after a game, even though this wouldnt affect the outcome of the game which it happend in if penalties were to be handed out in the form of player bans and heavy fines. I.e. minimum of a weeks wages. We believe after a few players were sanctioned in this way other players would start to think twice about diving and it wouldnt take long to bring about a change in the way players look at this method of cheating.
