We, the sports fans of Cleveland and beyond, officially forgive the actions of Lebron Raymone James, former member of the Cleveland Cavaliers Organization. Mr. James openly lied to fans on multiple occasions regarding his desire to continue playing for said Organization and the city of Cleveland.
In addition, at the end of his tenure, he performed at a level which was beneath his own standards, costing his teammates, coaching staff, organization, and fans an opportunity to obtain a championship.
Furthermore, Mr. James did knowingly go on national television and embarrass the region (Northeast Ohio, which includes Akron, Cleveland, and multiple other municipalities) which supported him as he grew into the player he has become.
Fans openly acknowledge Mr. James' right to leave as a free agent. However, it is the manner in which he departed his team which was in poor taste.
However, in the spirit of forgiveness and "taking the high road", fans do hereby forgive Mr. James for his infinitely damaging actions. We wish Mr. James luck with his future endeavors. It is in our best interests as well to move on and support a team which include players who are dedicated to bringing home the elusive championship which Lebron Raymone James failed to deliver in his time as a Cleveland Cavalier.
