Fire Tim McCarver

The single worst thing about the MLB playoffs is, as always, Tim McCarver, one of Fox's announcers. This guy needs be stopped from announcing games. He is the most dreadful announcer I have ever seen announce a ballgame (with the White Sox announcers being the only possible exception). Ignoring for the moment that he doesn't even seem to understand what it is he's talking about (really, if you're going to try to analyze a game, do your homework and learn how to do it properly), he is the most obnoxiously unfunny announcer in the history of the universe. And he thinks he's hilarious. Or something. He uses the same damn joke every inning - taking something he or another announcer said, pulling a few words from it, and then using it in another context. Same words, different context. Same words, different context. Same words, different context. Over. And Over. And Over. To give you an example of the type of garbage we baseball fans have to put up with, here's something you might here Tim McCarver say:

"You know, a lot of these sabermetric guys don't like to steal bases because they don't want to make outs. But if you don't take risks, you won't win ballgames. And I'll tell you what, Player X just made out like a bandit there by stealing a base."

Tim McCarver, you are not clever. You are not smart. You are not funny. You need to stop talking.
