We, the citizens of Canada and residents of, and employees working in, Ottawa, Ontario, demand the immediate end of its tap water fluoridation.
The fluoride substance added to the water as hydrofluorosilicic acid is a poison that is clearly a form of compulsory mass medication that should not be imposed upon the people without each individual's right to consent. Mass water fluoridation imposes serious ethical issues and causes or aggravates health problems. It has been shown to be ineffective against tooth decay and is uncontrolled dosage of the consumer. Fluoridation is a total waste of tax dollars, harms the environment, and is actually an illegal use of an unapproved product for the purpose of medication according to Health Canada regulations.
We demand the right to safe drinking water in our community, free of imposed medication or poison.
