We, the undersigned, are fed up with the lack of bona fide negotiations with respect to a new CBA between the NHL and its players. We respectfully demand that from this point forward until a new CBA is signed that the NHL and the NHLPA meet no less than once weekly to ensure that regardless of the fate of this season that every effort is being made to resolve this matter ASAP. Considering the damage we believe the two parties are doing to the game, we respectfully ask that both parties show they actually do care for the game by donating no less than 2.5 of their lockout payments back into minor hockey teaching and equipment purchase programs. We wish to ensure your selfishness in letting these negotiations harm the game does not harm our young players. We wish that players would take their time and use it to improve the game at the many other levels at which it exists, through coaching, refereeing and other such donations of their time. We wish the owners would reach into the communities in which they are located and hire some of the displaced workers in other capacities in their many other business ventures.
Our concern is the game, and what we ask that NHL/NHLPA do is to stop the lip service and prove they too care through their actions.
