Force the Resignation of Kevin McHale

McHale's failures during his tenure with the team are obvious and well known. In the thirteen years that he has occupied his current position in the front office, he has been an embarrassment.
In 1995, McHale was appointed Vice President of Basketball Operations and immediately hired Flip Saunders and, the next season, made the decision to draft Kevin Garnett fifth overall in the NBA draft. These moves would be his first and last wise decisions.
In twelve seasons with the team, Garnett and McHale's Timberwolves were unable to move past the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The embarrassment continued for McHale, as he selected the wrong players, fired coach Flip Saunders, and circumvented league salary cap rules by secretly agreeing to a deal with forward Joe Smith, a move that cost the team subsequent draft picks.
Among the mistakes McHale has made in drafts: trading Ray Allen after selecting him fifth overall, trading Brandon Roy for Randy Foye, selecting Isaiah Rider Jr., Ndudi Ebi, and William Avery, all in the first round. In twenty six picks, he and the Timberwolves have made the right choice only once.
In addition, McHale was in charge of numerous other bad decisions, such as dealing Sam Cassell for Marko Jaric and Lionel Chalmers, acquiring guard Mike James (giving him a massive contract) and soon after trading James for Juwan Howard, who never played a game in a Minnesota jersey.
McHale is, without a doubt, the worst Vice President of Basketball Operations in the NBA. He may, in fact, be the worst Vice President of Basketball Operations in the history of the modern sport, and even this statement may not adequately describe how badly he has done his job.
We ask Mr. McHale to resign immediately, and simultaneously ask the Timberwolves organization to fire Mr. McHale or press him to resign. As fans, we will no longer support a team that embraces failure. We will no longer put our money into a franchise that has no intentions of winning.
