It seems Mr. Tiernan's 'satire' of the Catholic Church and his comments on jazzing up church sermons were deemed 'bordering on blasphemy' by a spokesman for Ireland's Catholic Bishops. Blasphemous?.......right! But i thought we lived in a free-thinking European Country where his words should be viewed as social commentary?
His bad language also caused some concern to three people who complained to the BCC.......again, would anyone like to count the number of swear words uttered in an episode of 'The Clinic'? No, me neither.
You see, i have better things to do with my time, i'm more concerned with the world at large, with Bertie slapping an extra 10 on A&E charges, with the government trying to play 'hip-with-the-kids' by not charging V.A.T. on the new Live Aid single but then cutting charitable contributions to make up their losses.
At the end of the day people - a funny guy told a joke and only three people complained yet he was banned for our t.v. boxes even though the majority of us enjoyed the show.
