Give Kenny Dykstra A Chance

In light of recent losses of talent, we urge WWE to look deeper into their roster at their current superstars to fill in the gaps. There are many young faces who are more than capable of rising up the ranks to take the place of stars who have recently let the company down by various means. It is our opinion that Kenny Dykstra has what it takes to step up to the challenge and contribute positively to WWE programming as a major star.
Ken Doane began training with wrestling legend Killer Kowalski at the age of 15 and signed his WWE developmental contract as soon as he completed his high school education in June 2004. In August 2004 Ken debuted in WWEs developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling. In total Doane spent less than eighteen months in OVW, during the course of which he established himself as not only a gifted athlete but also capable as an on screen performer.
His ascension to WWE television was swift as part of the Spirit Squad faction, where he would also showcase his in-ring talents, culminating in a spectacular guillotine leg drop. The stint on Raw also allowed Doane to perfect his character acting and, along with the rest of the Squad, earned the required crowd reactions for his character, honing his craft with every appearance.
Since the end of the Spirit Squad, Doane has performed under the name Kenny Dykstra to mixed reactions. To begin with, his character was a cocky young stud who believed he was a future hall of famer. His promos were interesting and believable and his look was unique. Even when relegated to Heat, he was still making waves with his feuds against Eugene, Matt Hardy and most notably, Val Venis.
In the recent draft, Dykstra was chosen by Smackdown, giving his fans high hopes for a better chance to shine on Friday nights. Unfortunately since his arrival on Smackdown on 6th July 2007 Dykstra has not been allotted a single win to date. His performances have continued to be of a high standard, his consistency and longevity are apparent to his many, many fans across the globe. However Dykstra has still not been allowed the required time to develop any kind of feud or storyline with his opponents. his promo time has been very limited, making it difficult for his character to develop on screen. Even the addition of Victoria as his on screen girlfriend has failed to attract Dykstra some credibility as the pair have not been allowed to function as a traditional 'heel' couple.
It is our hope that this petition will, on behalf of it's signatories, persuade those responsible in World Wrestling Entertainment to give Kenny Dykstra the chance to become a major player on it's Smackdown brand. We believe whole-heartedly that Kenny Dykstra has what it takes to perform to excellent standards in both his matches and his mic work. All we ask is that he is given the chance to prove us right.
