Teesside Autodrome was claimed to be (by some UK Pro Drifters) as one of the best if not the best drifting trackin the country. But the dream of newbies has been shreaded as has drifting due to the local council.
The track provided the only drifting the North East had in store and to have the council ban drifting from there is devistating for new drifters like me, fans of drifting in the North, UK Pro's and people influenced to start via seeing an event at this sepctacular venue!
The latest drift practice provided by the autodrome was planned to be on New Years Eve but the council turned the request down meaning everybody waiting and preparing for the drift day broke down when the bad news was spread...
The reason for this event been cancelled was noise, but does anybody think of complaining about football fans screaming when a goal is scored or a firework goes off? Its all noise!!!
Now would a footballer like it if it was announced they where getting fired? this is like us Northern Drifters being told we have to travel 100's of miles to do what we love!
To have this petition work would get drifting its home here in the North East, Keep everyone happy and would mean that when a national event is run (BDC etc) hotels may earn more money around the area as the fans who travel will be booking rooms for the weekends. So not only is the track earning money, not only are us drifters getting what we severely need and not only are the hotels earning more money, THE NORTH EAST gets more publicity!!!
i hope some of you generous people take notice of this real bad need for drifting up here, if this doesnt work out we are going to have to face our worst nightmares...
thanks all
