Hunters Safety Course Waiver

I am a Marine who is from Maryland. I can't hunt because I have not taken a hunters safety course. I was in the Marine Corps Infantry for 4 yrs and work at a Nuclear Power plant as a armed officer for the past 2 yrs. The state does not recognize any of my training on firearms at all. I would like to get this change for all veterans, active duty military, and law enforcement. I believe that the time and training a person in any of these fields out weighs the course by so much its not even measurable. I understand the reason for the course and see how it helps but disagree that these fields need the course because people in these fields have already gone through rigorous training far beyond the hunters course in weapons safety. I am asking to to sign this petition to have a waver put into effect for veterans, active duty military and law enforcement personnel.
