We the citizens of La Porte, Texas having freedom of speech, do present this petition to LPISD's School Board for the immediate removal of Molly Helmlinger as LPISD's Superintendet without reassignment to any other position within LPISD. We Demand with authority of our vote that you exercise your duty as our representatives, and the advocates of our children without delay.
The mission of the Texas Public Education system is to ensure that all Texas children have access to a quality education that enables them to achieve their full potential and fully participate now and in the future in the social, economic, and educational opportunities in our state and nation. THE QUALITY OF OUR CHILDRENS EDUCATION IS AT STAKE!
In the opinion of this petitioner and the undersigned La Porte residents we believe that under Molly Helmlingers reign in LPISD the students have lost:
Many highly qualified and extremely productive Teachers, Administrators, and Coaches, whom have been forced to leave or, be maliciously attacked and terminated.
Special educational need instructors have been inadequate for the need of the students.
Morale has suffered for the students, teachers, admin, and the community.
LPISD work environment is one of dissension, conflict and hostility.
LPISD is now rated the lowest of all the surrounding area schools.
Mismanagement of district funds and resources.
