Increasing University of Idaho athletics coverage in the Idaho Statesman

As fans of University of Idaho athletics, we are concerned by the lack of information provided by The Idaho Statesman regarding the Vandal sports of basketball, cross country, golf, football, soccer, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
Information on UI athletics including alumni information, box scores, game and practice summaries, and personnel/player biographies is a primary reason for subscribing to The Idaho Statesman. By not containing adequate coverage of UI athletics, the inherent value of owning and advertising with The Idaho Statesman is reduced. We, the subscribers and advertisers of the Idaho Statesmen, located at 1200 N. Curtis Road, Boise, Idaho, regret to inform you of the intent to cancel any and all current subscriptions for lacking to produce sufficient coverage of University of Idaho athletics. Unless an increase in covering UI athletics is made, cancellation will occur by October 1, 2004.

Numerous U of I alumni reside throughout the Boise area and I believe there would be many extremely disappointed Statesman readers if the athletic programs were not covered.

Vandals, what Vandals? If I could get the Spokesman Review from N Idaho/ Spokane delivered, I would..They do an outstanding job of covering most D1 football in the Northwest. You should view their sports page as an example.

I recently had my wife cancel the Statesman b/c lack of N.ID coverage. Maybe start a Vandal version of the Statesman with words longer than four characters?

As an Idaho Alum, I am continuously dissappointed in the lack of coverage of Idaho Athletics. I would venture a guess there are more UI grads in the treasure valley than BSU grads.
