Individual Weighting of Advanced Placement Courses

We, the students of Frank Scott Bunnell High School, petition the Stratford Board of Education to reform the system of calculating class rank and cumulative grade point averages. We firmly believe that enrollment in Advanced Placement courses should directly effect these two methods of evaluation instead of being considered the equivalents of honors level courses, as they are in the current system. We advocate for this reform in order to encourage students to particiapte in a more rigourous course of study and to inspire students to become active investors in their education.
