Dear Sirs,
After numerous hours researching the matter I have come to the conclusion that the iRiver PMP-100 models will not receive support for 8-bit gaming as promised when the player was released. We as users bought the player for its feature set, and gaming was one of these, most feel especially upset as this was the deal breaker for them, as most other PVP models do not have this level of support, many bought the player on the premise that it would get the support in future only to find that it was not ever to get this. I feel not only does this manage to be illegal but undermines the promises made to users that have spent over 400Stg on a device that does not deliver what was stated.
I would hope that you would remedy this situation, or at least come to a compromise and allow users of the player to make their own games or even to develop programs for it. Many of us feel that this player is under supported and adding this feature would go a long way to making us feel that we chose the correct product.
